My proposal for an artistic work for
the BVL is based on my personal experience as a costumer and food consumer. Like most consumers, I don't spend too much time in the supermarket
to stock up on food, the things that are necessary for life's sustenance. Whether potatoes, powdered sugar, organic eggs, canned milk, raisins, and bologna. Whether frozen apple pie, strawberry yogurt light, Fairtrade peanuts, dried soups or breakfast cereals. All of this ends up in our consumption collection cup, the shopping cart. We pull it to
the checkout, pay and leave. We have
been familiar with the function of this shopping cart as a "utility vehicle" for years, but no special attention is paid to the visual characteristics of this "vehicle. special attention. And this
is where my artistic interest comes in: what is the nature of this shopping cart; what shape, what construction, what proportions, what details?
