Up the hill from Carl Berners plass
past kindergartens and supermarket, post office and pharmacy
between high-rise blocks from the 1970s and a church
is a two-storey yellow brick villa with a large, generous garden;
It is Villa Furulund.
A residential building built at the same time as the road from Carl Berners Plass to Sinsenkrysset.
A time when Oslo was in the early stages of its industrial revolution.
Since the late 1960s, the house has been the association's studio and exhibition house for the Norwegian Society of Sculptors.
When I step over the threshold of the Sculptor's House, Villa Furulund
I have a sense of crossing over the threshold of another time.
The exhibition project
VILLA FURULUND is based on the house and its history.
